A handmade limited edition linocut print of hay rolls in Somerset fields.
Limited edition of 19 prints.

This print is a multi block lino cut. It was created using four separate blocks printed one of top of the other to complete the final image.

This print was the result of a “Stop the car!” moment. I have always loved the site of hay rolls sitting out in the field and I couldn’t resist this field on the Watchet to Blue Anchor road in Somerset. The heat of the height of summer, the neatness of a nearly completed harvest and the vast beautiful spaces that are our farmlands give me a feeling of peace and completion. Another harvest is nearly done, nature has shared her bounty with us and we are nearly ready for the colder months that are just around the corner.

The inks used for this print are Caligo Safe Wash inks which are water soluble oil based ink with high lightfast properties. The paper is Fabriano Unica 250gsm printmaking paper.

As each print is inked and printed by hand there will be slight variations between each print, each one is in it’s own way an original. Colours may appear slightly differently on screen to the actual print.

Handmade Prints

These prints are all handmade and as such there can be slight variations in the prints in an edition, though these are very slight. It means that each print in an edition is unique and is an original in it’s own right. Please also bear in mind that although I take every care to photograph the prints as faithfully as possible there can also be variations in colour between what you view on a screen and the original print.

Free Postage in the UK is included in the price of all the prints. For delivery to the EU and ROW please contact me for a quote.

Sending Your Prints

Unmounted Prints – smaller prints are sent in a flat, card backed envelope or in a tube.

All larger unmounted prints are sent in a rigid cardboard tube to arrived safely with you. Prints sent in a tube will need to be carefully unrolled and flattened out.

Mounted Prints – smaller mounted prints will be sent in a card backed envelope with additional padding to prevent damage. Larger mounted prints are packed between sheets of thick card and then wrapped in paper to protect them.

Framed Print – only available for UK delivery. Wrapped in bubble wrap and boxed. Courier delivery.

Postage is first class Royal Mail unless otherwise agreed in advance.
